Basketball 3x3, Beach Volleyball and Sport Climbing return to Croatia in 2017Steps

 

EUSA Technical Delegates Mr Ilan Kowalsky, Mr Adriano Paco and Mr Matteo Pastori visited Croatian city of Split on November 20-22, for inspection visit for the next European Universities Basketball 3x3, Sport Climbing and Beach Volleyball Championships which will be hosted 25-30 of July 2017.

The Organising Committee, led by its President Mr Toni Gamulin together with other members of Split University Sport Association, welcomed the representatives of the European University Sports Association, and gave a detailed overview about the preparations for the event.

During the 3 days, delegates and OC members visited Rector of the University of Split Mr Simun Andelinovic and Head of sport affairs department of City of Split Mr Hrvoje Akrap who expressed their maximal support in all preparatory work for the EUSA championships and especially regarding infrastructure works.

 

Kowalsky

They emphasised the importance of legacy for academic community and citizens of Split in general. All organisational aspects of the event organisation were discussed in more details, including accommodation, catering, sports, ceremonies, medical assistance, transportation, hospitality and communication, social life and other areas.

Paco

After the European Universities Games Zagreb – Rijeka 2016 (EUG2016), another EUSA event will bring great impact into development of university sport in Croatia. With the great expansion of university sport in Split in the last years, European Universities Championships Split 2017 will leave important legacy for the generations to come.
